Are long disance relationships as hard as they sound?

My boyfriend has recently been relocated 120 miles from home. We have only been together since January but we are getting on really well so far. I would hate to go weeks without seeing him and so do you think i should end it now before it gets too complicated? Are long disance relationships as hard as they sound?
Mine just ended a week ago after 1 year and 5 months. 8 months of which were spent apart.

If you are going to make it work it will take a lot of work and commitment from both of you. It's not just going to happen. It's really hard. If you really love each other though it can workAre long disance relationships as hard as they sound?
I've spent the better part of 3 1/2 years in a long distance relationship. Committment, dedication, and all the essentials for any relationship to succeed have to come from both partners. Its a lot of hard work, but if you love each other, you can make it work.
Just a city away is pretty challenging. 120 miles away is more challenging. But if I were you, I would just make it work. You can text, IM, call, facebook, myspace, email. And you can always try to see each other at least once every month
