What are the relationships between chromosome structure and gene function?

answers please thankyouWhat are the relationships between chromosome structure and gene function?
Chromosome structure will determine the expression of certain genes. During protein synthesis, the chromosomes have to pack an enormous amount of information. Those genes that are packed into the densest part of the chromosome will never be expressed while those that are in the less dense areas will be expressed. The cell has the ability to either make a region more or less dense depending on the stage in the cell cycle/development.What are the relationships between chromosome structure and gene function?
uhm....i forget some of the part but anyone can correct me if i'm wrong....

Gene function didn't directly affected by chromosome structure since the one that determine the gene function is the nucleic acid sequence on DNA.

Chromosome structure will determine whether an organism has a genetic disease or not. Since human didn't have a chromosome in telosentris form, if you find one/more in a human cell, you can tell that this human has a genetic disease.

Ah i just remember something. If a structure of chromosome broken...it will affect the nucleic acid sequence in the DNA and it will cause Trancription and Translation error that will lead to many kind of genetic disease. That will cause a defect in gene function or the gene will not expressed.
