Are your relationships painful and fragile?

I believe this happens because of how casual and cavilier we have become with sex - looking at porn %26amp; taking multiple partners with low committment. I believe God gave us the gift of sexuality in order for us to bond intimately and closely with one marriage partner for one lifetime %26amp; if we don't follow our creator's instructions for how to use our sexuality, *We're* the ones that end up getting hurt.

What do you think? Are your relationships painful and fragile?
I agree with you. The immoral participants of sex are the victims of their poor decisions, - and the future un-intented consequences are known by Christians.

Too bad the consequences of these poor decisions are passed on to the children of these people. Are your relationships painful and fragile?
I'm sorry, couldn't disagree more, except for one thing. Sex is being trivialized these times, but the same happens with people's privacy, freedom and many other things. I.E., people are losing their moral principles, be them religious (as in your case) or not (as in mine).

Concerning relationships... Well, I think you're generalising a bit too much by stating that kind of thoughts. Relationships can or cannot work for a zillion different reasons. One is the vision of sex, true, but some other relationships don't work because there's a huge argument about something stupid, because one of the two has to move abroad, because they just found out they love each other a lot but can't be together...

Believe it or not, gay couples work pretty much like straight couples. Do all broken straight couples end up breaking because of sex? No. Then why should the gay ones do?
Morganie,

What is going on in your life? I mean, what the heck prompts these sorts of questions. I think the witch hunts on pornography are over-rated. It's like what the NRA says about guns. Guns don't kill people. People kill people.

I think the reason porn is a problem in the USA is due to our sex phobic Puritanical heritage. In general, Americans look upon sex as something dirty and the media and advertisers exploit that.In some European cultures, such as Sweden and Germany and France, their attitude on sex is much more liberal. They do not find porn offensive- it is boring compared to their own sex lives. Good for them.

I also think that if prostitution were legal nationwide in the US there would be fewer rapes and AIDs and STDs would be less of a problem.
i agree with you. i've only had one serious relationship that lasted 6 years. i'm gay, and this was my first lesbian relationship. anyway, it was really special and great, but because it was so special and so great, it was REALLY hard when we broke up. now, i find it hard to commit to someone else. not that i'm not capable of it, but you know, it's just really hard.
I've been blessed and have a happy, long lasting relationship
I like you're perspective. I never thought of that, yet it seems to make sense.
